Formed in May 2011 and incorporated by the Registrar General's Department in 2013, Dress-A- Kid Foundation” is an online Charity group with just a simple mission ; to assemble clothes and shoes which are later donated to needy children in deprived communities and orphanages.
With the hope of “CLOTHING THE NEXT GENERATION THROUGH CHARITY” ,our aim is to provide one of the major necessities of life (clothes) to at least hundred (100) deprived kids every quarter of the year.
However, due to the insatiable needs of the communities and schools we visit, we often raise other stationeries in addition to the clothes and shoes we donate.
We also contribute in giving some children reasons to stay in school by rehabilitating and painting their dilapidated schools.
*Why We Do What We Do
This initiative is a way of telling the world that ' we don't need excess before we can reach out' and by extension exhibit that ' with combined efforts and resources, we can be the change we seek'
To us, the smallest act of kindness is the better than a million of grand intentions.
*What we have done
The team has solely , and in patnership with other groups donated not less than one thousand pairs of shoes, clothes, bags ,books and other stationeries to about a dozen of communities and orphanages.
Key among our activities is the clothing of an entire Island in the Dangme East ,as well as the completion of the Mempe Meho Asem Methodist Basic School in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Also not to be skipped is the sewing of new African Prints for Five Orphanages in Accra and Tema.
